Firing At Lahore Airport, At Least Two Killed – raised questions on airport secuirty.
At least two people have lost their lives and one is injured in a gun attack at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.
The incident took place early on Wednesday and caused panic among the passengers. A majority of people rushed out of the airport lounge after hearing the gunfire.
One of the two men involved in the incident has been arrested by the Airport Security Force (ASF). The second person reportedly managed to escape the scene.
Both deceased had returned after performing Umrah, said a police official, one of them has been identified as Zain.
SP Investigation Lahore believes personal enmity was the reason behind the incident.
Heavy contingents of police and rangers have cordoned off the premises and traffic going to the airport from the surrounding areas has been blocked.

SP Cantt Safdar Raza Qazi said one injured person was in a critical condition. Based on initial reports, the firing was over a personal dispute, added the SP. Further investigation is underway.
